September 30th Devotion

In Acts chapter 1, the men have a meeting, discussing the aftermath of Jesus crucifixion. Peter explains to the men that Judas the traitor betrayed Jesus but that plan was in the will of God. Sometimes God uses bad people to fulfill the will of God. We will never understand it but what true in Gods word, his will be done. After Judas's death they had to replace him, before they choose someone else they had benn joined to them about 120 belivers in Christ in prayer prior to nominatinating someone. They sought after God to decided who would be the best choice as a apostle of Jesus. They then continued in prayer, fervently about the right choosing of the next Apostle. My question about chapter 1 in verse 25, where has Judas presumebly gone? Did the disciples still not have faith about Jesus being resurrected? What are casting out lots? takeaway- Be fervent in prayer when making big decisions without ceasing. Acts 2-

In the 1st book of Matthew

I learned that God had a plan for where he wanted Mary and Joseph to go, with Baby Jesus. They were obedient in his command and he kept them safe. How are we being obedient today?

FAMILY reflection

I have been deeply pondering what family means. I always have. Family is very important to me. Always has been. But I as a human take things for granted and so I have also taken people for granted. I have experinced 2 deaths in my immediate extend family in the last 18 months. To me that is just not something normal. Sure, death is normal but you know, grieving is not something you go through everyday. It is painful. I lost my grandfather 18 months ago. And I just lost my cousin 3 weeks ago. And what you should have done or been more intentful about always crosses your mind. Something to reflect on. Always be intentional, you will live with the regret that you didn't give it all you had. It's totally worth it to go the extra mile for other people. You should always be kind to others because the person who you may have mistreated (make you wonder if the mistreatment was worth it) may and will be the one ( and only ) who will advocate for you in your most needed hour.
