Lying!!!!

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord but those who deal truly are his delight.

I know it might be a little harsh for a 5 yr old to memorize but lying and sin is harsh especially if you continue to do it.

Ava lied to me on Sunday. We had really nipped that in the bud about her lying, her understanding what a lie is and why it is wrong and ugly. I also think it has alot to do with age, as they grow they learn and understand things better but she just lied to me again about an hour ago. The lie was that she told me that she had taken a nap when I KNOW she did not. I asked the third time if she had taken one and this was her last time to tell me the truth and she said she did not. I made her recite her verse that she memorized on Sunday to me right then and there and told her to lay down for her nap.

I told the girls I would take them to the park today but I told Ava that if we did go she would not be playing just her sisters- I know that might seem harsh too, but she has to learn.

So, what were the consequences for you as a child for lying or what are or have been the consequences for your own children lying to you?

27 and Baby Names

I just thought of two things when I typed 27 in that box. I'm 27 yrs old and tomorrow I will be 27 weeks pregnant. If you have been a faithful follower( I love you for that) you know that Baby Boy Button is coming and you also know WE BUTTONS have been busy just a little bit these past 7 months. Baby, raising my 3 little ones and new job change, new house change new EVERYTHING change. I haven't really had time to look through the baby name book. I started to a few times but felt overwhelmed. When I do have a moment to do it I just want to suck the quiet up!!! :) I will reveal his name at least part of it. I have told a few people what he would actually be called but I was never set on it. The name we will call him is really growing on me and Aaron so I think this will be his name. The name he will be called is a name I have always liked but of course never was really dead set on it because we have 3 girls.

His first name will be Aaron after his Daddy of course

The pitter patter....

I've been trying to get video of Ms. Eden and I finally have it. It just worked out today to actually record her. She is 10 months old. All 3 of our girls have been early walkers. I was talking to my Sister in law and she said your kids get there teeth really late but they walk really early. The week she her two bottom teeth came thru and she started walking. That was the week she turned 10 months old.
