I have not really wrapped my head around this completely. You all know that Aaron went out of town this past week to have his interview in Northern Virginia. Well, I had my cubbie class to do that Wednesday and so I was busy and did not have an opportunity to talk to him until I got home that night at 9 p.m.
He walked away from his interview feeling GREAT about it. They ask you really hard questions and scenarios of situations that you possibly could not have been in, but you still have to answer these questions. He said he had answers for them all and felt very good about how the interview went.
I forgot to tell you guy's that someone else had applied for the job, they had to post it and not show favoritism even though they were interested in Aaron. That did make us feel nervous a little but we realized it was in God's hands and gave it to him to take care of the situation.
Aaron said the door was open with the Director and VP being interested in him for the job but he felt confident that the LORD would shut the door if it was not for him.
He was home on Thursday at noon and we had to go take our window to get fixed and that would take a few hours, so we decided to have a errand/family day at chuck e cheese while our window was fixed. Aaron told me he thought it would be by the end of next week that they would offer him the job. I KNEW it would be sooner. I know they have been wanting to fill this position, pretty quickly so I knew the director would keep the process moving.
Aaron called me from work yesterday and said he spoke with the director and they offered him the job and of course Aaron called me to just double check and give me the details and we agreed. AND SO HE OFFICIALLY accepted yesterday. Also one nice little tidbit is that the Director told Aaron that he normally sits in on interviews to hire other managers in different departments and he said that Aaron's interview was the BEST interview he has ever been involved in. It's one thing that Aaron said he felt like he did a good job but to have it re affirmed is AWESOME. God DID it. God is the one who helped him thru the interview. God is working thru him. God has all the Glory for what he is doing in our lives, what he is doing in Aaron's life. Once again and always THE Lord takes care of our needs.
It all is very exciting but I thought to myself, well, this really means that we are really moving AWAY from all we have ever know, really. Even though that thought crossed my mind, this whole situation won't click until maybe a month after we have moved away. Right now, it's like I just know I NOW have ALOT of things to do and get ready for and so I just need to do them.
We have alot of important descions to make and we have to make them quickly Please pray for guidance and wisdom as we make these important descions.
What will we do with the house we live in now?
Where will we live in Northern Virginia?
We have to pack!
We have to prep this house to either sale or rent, not much to do but certain things need to be done.
I need to find a OBGYN up there, I having a baby in September.
The girls need a pediatrician!
And much more, Specifically these are things we need prayer on.
One day and one thing at a time.
We appreciate everyone support. Everyone has been very supportive even though you can hear the sadness/some other feelings in their voice.
That is all I have for now. Aaron will be starting his job May 2nd, which is about a month away. So within the next month we will be driving 3 hours away to begin a new chapter of our lives.
Please Pray!
