15 years long.... 9 years strong! Today is the day we were married. I am so very blessed and thankful to God for sending me such an amazing man. We are strong were the other is weak.
Something that has been on my mind leading up to our anniversary is one of the most spoken verses ( next to John3:16). I think is 1 Corthians 13, is an essential passage to demonstrate in EVERY relationship!
If I ever have a piece of advice to give regarding marriage or relationships for that matter is : to keep God the center of your marriage. ( and communicate, communicate, communicate with the below in mind) Repeat, repeat, repeat. So I have to ask myself,
Am I being patient ?
Am I being kind?
Love is patient.
Love is kind;
love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends
. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV)
I love this version, it clearly states words that a couple would use with one another( lol) and here it clearly states what not to do.
Marriage is not perfect (and is hard) but what's most important to Aaron and I is that we are trying, we do love each other deeply and I am so happy that God has brought us together. I could not have planned any better than God did.
Happy anniversary day! :)
